With three golf courses along with one of the best resorts in Europe, La Manga Club is a real favourite for both golfers, holiday makers and for corporate events.

The back nine are shorter in length but a number of interesting and challenging dog leg holes. The more difficult holes along the back nine include holes 11 and 12 that require club selection to be precise in order to avoid the water hazards. The final 18th hole is a great way to finish and complete the South Golf Club at La Manga with water featuring on both sides of the fairway with a ravine just short of the well protected green.

South Golf Club Hole 10: Par 4 - 326m (489 yards)
Starting the back nine, this par 4 hole is another tight dog leg left of the course with very little room for a driver to be used. Players who wish to risk their score card by taking a direct route over the out of bounds area down the left hand side may be able to reach the fairway in front of the green. The more conservative option to play this hole is to play to the corner of the dog leg. With a wide fairway there are generous amount of room so players should feel comfortable in their approach. The green is protected by two green side bunkers to the front and front left, but other then that is regarded as generous.

South Golf Club Hole 11: Par 4 - 348m (381 yards)
This par 4 is the second hole of the back 9 on the South Golf Club course, requiring a first class drive; players are able to produce an excellent position to take on the green. Players who find their selves with a straying drive off from the tee will find this hole tough to approach and carry over the water hazard. The best recommended drive on this slight dog leg left is to take a line to the left of the main fairway bunker. This involves a difficult approach for some but with a short to mid iron, players will be able to find the green quickly.

South Golf Club Hole 12: Par 3 - 126m (137 yards)
After the tough hole 11, golfers can relax slightly as hole 12 is par 3 at just 126 metres from the yellow tee. Being the shortest hole on the south golf club course, players should find the green particularly easy. The green itself is defended well with two green side bunkers with a water hazard front and to the right. A short iron will leave players feeling confident as they find the putting surface. Due to the green running from the front left to back right, players may be caught out depending on pin position.

South Golf Club Hole 13: Par 5 - 497m (543 yards)
Depending on the tee position, golfers playing on this South golf club may need to avoid two large bunkers on both side of the fairway. At par 5, this slight dog leg left is a long hole with hazards surrounding and beyond the landing area. With a narrow fairway golfers will give a good drive to find the right side of the fairway, allowing to reach the green in two. The green itself is guarded by two green side bunkers to the front left and other the left hand side of the green. Being slightly tiered, players will be required to find the same ground level at the pin to avoid any possible chance of a three putt.

South Golf Club Hole 14: Par 4 - 330m (361 yards)
To succeed in this hole players must find the fairway and avoid the 140 metre long bunker that runs parallel to the fairway right up to the front of the green. The narrow fairway will force most players to use a club which provides them with confidence to find the fairway from the tee off area. With room down the left hand side, players who manage to miss the fairway left may find their line to the green obstructed by pine trees. Players who find the large bunker will find the approach difficult to make. The green is narrow with a small target to find from the fairway. With a greenside bunker of 47m deep to the left, players may find the only way to attack the green is from a drive.

South Golf Club Hole 15: Par 4 - 382m (418 yards)
This is the toughest hole on the south golf club course at La Manga Club; requiring excellent shots to find the green this will give all golfers an enjoyable challenge. The fairway consists of two fairway bunker hazards on both sides to capture wayward shots off target. Golfers will need to produce an excellent challenging drive between both of these bunkers for the ideal position on the hole. The narrow gap produces difficulty for landing whilst those find the bunkers will most certainly have to lay up. The approach to the hole 15 green is over a small ravine whilst you will be greeted by three green side bunkers protecting. The target area looks very small from the fairway but a long drive will reap confidence back into the game.

South Golf Club Hole 16: Par 4 - 323m (353 yards)
An accurate tee shot will put you on your way to success on this short dog leg right at 323 metres in length. Golfers will generally opt for the fairway wood or iron to clear the two fairway bunkers from the tee. By passing the bunkers players will also avoid the water hazard which is known to catch long drives. The more careful golfer may play short of the bunker which will leave around 120 metres to the green centre. With an approach to the green over water, players will find the green is mostly unprotected with only two green side bunkers to the rear. In reality these should not come into play accept for the stray shots off target.

South Golf Club Hole 17: Par 3 - 174m (194 yards)
The penultimate hole of the La Manga South Golf Club features a water hazard almost stretching from the tee to the green whilst the large green is highly protected by three bunkers. One bunker is situated on the left hand side whilst the others mark the rear and front of the green. With minimal room for error, golfers will need to select their club wisely as it is the fundamental key to securing par on this hole.

South Golf Club Hole 18: Par 5 - 435m (475 yards)
Even at 435 metres, the chancing players are able to reach the green within two. From the tee off area, golfers will notice the water hazard down the right hand side of the fairway and the large fairway bunker on the left hand side of this dog leg left. The ideal drive is to the right side of the fairway bunker where golfers can reach the landing area. Players who feel they are longer hitters may wish to attempt to reach the green in two but is worth nothing the approach is demanding even at 160 metres. The ball will be required to be carried past the green side bunkers which surround almost all the putting surface. Landing short of the green and your ball will land in the ravine. This is an excellent way to complete your round of golf at La Manga Club.
